Frequently asked questions
Is there any setup required?
Nope! Just download Inspector, select your codebase or start from a template, and get started.
Is this a browser or an IDE?
With Inspector, our browser is your IDE. You can select elements, move them visually, and press apply, and inspector will edit the code directly in your codebase.
How do I get started?
Download Inspector, connect to Claude, Codex, or Cursor, open a project locally. If you have a project from Lovable, Figma Make, Bolt, or another vibe-coding tool, download the code from that project and open the folder in Inspector to keep working on it.
Is Windows supported?
Not yet! Join our waitlist for Windows here.
How do I publish my changes?
Inspector connects to GitHub so you can create a branch, commit changes, and publish a PR directly from Inspector!
What about data and privacy?
All your data is stored locally. We don't train on your proprietary code, and all of your chat histories are stored on your device.
I'm a designer, can I use Inspector?
Yes! Many designers are already using Inspector to push changes to production codebases.
Does this work with any front-end framework?
Inspector works best with React apps and can link the visual elements directly to React code in your codebase. That said, you can use Inspector with any front-end framework, minus our really good visual context engine.
